For some odd, unexplainable reason, much like the reasoning behind all the yelling that the children across the road at the local middle school do on a daily basis; I would like to knit a rainbow striped sweater or cardigan.
It might be because my wonderful husband bought me enough chroma yarn from knit picks to do so or the fact that I am reconsidering knitting up the entrelac marvel known as Rapunzel by Universal Yarns. Forgetting of course the sheer ridiculousness that someone encountered at a knitters convention trying to purchase said pattern only to be met with the phrase, "You'll get the pattern for free if you purchase the $80 worth of yarn it takes from our company to make it." Really?? How sad to be turning away potential customers. That being said, I waited 2-3 years before finding a place online that sold the pattern alone for a mere $5 which in my book is a far more reasonable price.
The chroma yarn I have isn't quite rainbow-esque, but a toned down version in the colorway (New England). Many of my other projects are coming to an end and I have finished my Central Park Hoodie so my needles are craving a sweater of some sort.
I suppose time will tell what the yarn wants to be. In other news, we are moving again :-/
Packing is going well since we really haven't fully unpacked from our first move almost a year ago. I am nervous, excited, and scared all at once. I hope this move will be easier than the last.
Wish me luck...

Impossible to Get
I have a major sock knitting bug going on, but those of you who know me know that i love knitting socks. I love all the wonderful variegated and solid sock yarns out there. The color combination and pattern possibilities are endless.
Now I have to admit; I am giving up on ever getting my hands on some Wollmeise sock yarn :( It seems a multitude of sock knitters out there can find some.... Except me. I'm not a big fan of shopping for overpriced Wollmeise on Ebay.
All the online shops I've looked at for the yarn (such as The Loopy Ewe and the Wollmeise website itself) are always sold out. Just makes me depressed. I've seen pictures of all the wonderful colors of sock yarns they have and I've gotta say that it'd be a dream for me to get a chance to knit with this yarn. Someday, I am hoping to get a skein of a brilliant blue or green Wollmeise yarn.
Don't get me wrong, I still love my richly intense Dream in Color (Smooshy), Claudia Hand Painted, Lorna's Laces, and Knit Picks sock yarns. But boy oh boy does that Wollmeise sock yarn look delicious.
Ok, sorry for the rant, but I just had to get it off my chest. Anyone know of any Wollmeise retailers aside from The Loopy Ewe, Ebay, or the Wollmeise website itself? Or maybe any tips on getting some before they get sold out or as to when they're ever in stock?
